Learning to play the acoustic guitar

I had always wanted to play the acoustic guitar as I love music and admire bands and artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Smiths, David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. My wife bought me an acoustic guitar for my birthday in February during lockdown. I had learned a little when I was at college but that was a long time ago and so I started as a beginner. I've been trying to learn using YouTube videos but now I've bought a book and hope that can help me improve.

You can see a photo of my guitar above. It is a Fender CD-60S Dreadnought in all mahogany wood.
It's hard to find time to practice especially now as I'm a father. However, like with learning a language a little time spent on something every day makes a huge difference.

I learned piano as a child but now I have forgotten most of what I learned. I also self-taught myself to play the harmonica about 17 years ago but I haven't practised much in recent years.

Please let me know if you have any questions,

Have a great week!
