Annyeonghaseyo! I'm Hee Jin!
I have studied abroad in Japan for 5 years and this will be my 7th year as a Korean/Japanese tutor.
I am currently in Korea teaching Japanese lessons to Korean students and Korean lessons to Japanese students, both online and offline. I hope to utilize my experience working with students to offer easy Korean lessons that are made just for you.
I think the most important thing when it comes to learning foreign languages is having fun! If studying isn't fun, then it's hard to keep going and in the end you'll give up.
To counteract that, I have prepared a variety of courses to make learning Korean fun for you! I will do everything I can to support you during your journey, so let's work hard together!
*During the free talk sessions, my aim is to have you talk as much as possible. It may seem a bit scary at first, but hopefully you can have fun talking to me and feel as comfortable as you would chatting with a friend.
I graduated with a degree in song composition and arrangement from a music school in Tokyo. Currently, I teach Korean lessons on Skype through a Japanese website. I am also active as a Japanese tutor for Korean students and as a Japanese-Korean translator. My "Learn Korean Through K-Pop" lessons have been featured in articles on Konest and WOW Kankokugo. I gained a great deal of experience teaching Korean lessons while I was in Japan.
About the Class Materials
For the "Dekiru Kankokugo" lessons, we will use the textbook of the same title. For all other classes, please check the lesson details.
After you attend class, I will send you feedback. If your class comes with a "Review Kit," I will send them together. I try my best to send them right after class, but if I have back-to-back lessons, it might take me up to a day to send them.
About the Free Recording Service
I currently offer free recording services for the following classes: "Dekiru Kankokugo," "Free Talk in Korean," "Listening Comprehension: Korean Novels," "Repeat After Me: Korean Novels," "Listening Comprehension: Korean Fairytales," "Repeat After Me: Korean Fairytales." After the lesson, I will send you the recording through the Skype window for free! This way, you can check your own pronunciation and review what we went over during class by replaying the recording. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let me know before class.
